Students should wear comfortable, form-fitting dance attire that allows freedom of movement. Specific dress code requirements vary by class and will be provided upon registration.

What is the difference between Recreational and Competitive Dance?

Recreational Program

Designed for dancers who want to enjoy dance in a fun, low-pressure environment while learning technique and performing in studio productions.

Competitive Program

Designed for dancers seeking additional training, performance opportunities, conventions, and competitions while making a greater commitment to dance.

How are competition teams selected?

Competition team placements are determined through evaluations and auditions. We consider technical ability, performance quality, work ethic, maturity, attendance, and overall readiness.

Our goal is to place dancers where they will be challenged, successful, and continue to grow.

How much of a commitment is the Competition Program?

Competition dancers attend weekly classes, rehearsals, performances, and competitions throughout the season. Families receive a detailed handbook outlining expectations, attendance requirements, and financial commitments before joining.

How many competitions do competition teams attend?

The number of competitions varies by team and season. A competition schedule is provided before the season begins. Each competition team will attend a minimum of 3 regionals competitions a year.

What if my child misses a class?

We understand that illnesses and family obligations occur. Parents should notify the studio as soon as possible if a dancer will be absent. Some classes, particularly technique classes for our competition dancers, may require make-up attendance.

Do you offer make-up classes?

Yes. Make-up classes may be available depending on the class type and availability. Please contact the studio for scheduling options.

Are there performance opportunities?

Absolutely! Recreational dancers participate in our Holiday Show and Annual Recital. Competitive dancers also participate in competitions, conventions, and additional performance opportunities throughout the season.
